With a leap year occurring every 4 years, we at Licores Maduro thought it should be celebrated in a way as unique as February 29th. In honour of the day, we started off the Leap day with 29 selected wines that would be offered at FL.29 for 29 hours.
In addition to this great special, we also held a special wine tasting on that same day. “It’s Wine O’clock” was Licores Maduro’s first wine tasting for 2012. During this wine tasting, guests got the chance to taste the 29 wines, enjoy a great food while listening to great music, all this for the entrance fee of Fl.29. Hey it’s going to be another 4 years before we experience February 29th again, so we had to enjoy it to the fullest!

When guests arrived at Licores Maduro, they were presented with two wine stations, red wine and white wine. Imagine an all you can eat buffet, but for wine! Our wine experts were standing put to answer all tasters’ questions and to pour the wines for them. All that wine was enjoyed with a great assortment of cheeses and charcuterie. While all this was happening, the Cuban trio “Romance” serenaded the guests with a great selection of songs.

And so we officially kicked off the wine tastings for 2012. Looking at the past wine tastings we have had and the places we have travelled through our wines, it will be very interesting to see what we have planned for 2012. Make sure you check our Website and Facebook page for our next event.
